In April the Republican National Committee raised more than double what the Democratic National Committee brought in during the same period, making last month the DNC’s worst April since 2009, the Washington Examiner reports.

New Federal Election Commission (FEC) data show the DNC raised $4.7 million in April. “While this is an off-year for fundraising, the DNC hauled $8.5 million last year, and nearly $5 million in 2015.
