And geriatric commie Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) piled on for good measure:Nominating a climate denier to run the Environmental Protection Agency is offensive. I will do everything I can to stop this.

This is just the beginning for these people. Just wait till the actual nomination hearings for Pruitt begin. Oh boy. Pruitt is so right for the job because he rejects the fake so-called science behind global warming. He has filed several lawsuits against stifling EPA regulations that go beyond the agency’s lawful authority. He has led challenges to EPA rules related to ozone and carbon dioxide. In his current post, Pruitt has challenged President Obama’s “Clean Power Plan” (CPP), a federal attempt to seize control of virtually all bodies of water in the United States. Pruitt argued that the plan infringes on state sovereignty over power-generation—a view shared by 27 other states fighting the measure in the courts. “As a fellow fierce critic of the EPA, I know he’s going to roll back the regulations that have been an overreach,” Rep. Chris Collins (R-New York) said on CNN’s “New Day” Thursday. “I look at Attorney General Pruitt as someone who understands the balance. The EPA is out of balance. They’ve gone to the extreme.” Outside of environment policy, Pruitt was the first to challenge the Obama administration’s efforts to provide Obamacare subsidies to states that didn’t establish exchanges. He was at the forefront of getting Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty halted by the judiciary. He sued the Obama administration for mandating that transgender public school students be allowed to use the restroom facilities of the sex they identify with. So when the confirmation hearings begin, turn on C-SPAN, grab some popcorn, and prepare yourself for some of the best political entertainment in years.Trump's choice to lead EPA doesn't just deny climate change, he's worked with oil & gas companies to make us more dependent on fossil fuels.
