Soros ex-employee sued for sexual sadism

Howie Rubin seems a lot like Patrick Bateman, the lead character in American Psycho. Rubin, formerly a portfolio manager at George Soros-founded Soros Fund Management, stands accused in a $27 million lawsuit of Caligula-like sexual abuses. He allegedly “sadistically abused and victimized women in a Manhattan penthouse sex dungeon — even beating one woman so brutally that one of her breast implants flipped.” He allegedly paid the woman $20,000.

In the 2000 movie American Psycho, Bateman, a high-flying mergers and acquisitions man, sadistically abuses and victimizes women in his Manhattan sex dungeon, mutilating one so severely she requires corrective surgery. In addition to his connection to Soros, Rubin is a former Bear Stearns trader who was a figure in the Michael Lewis novels, Liar’s Poker and The Big Short. Rubin tried to silence his sexual victims by pressing them to sign non-disclosure agreements and settlements. He allegedly bounded his victims, gagged them, and beat them. One plaintiff says she was shocked with a cattle prod in her groin before he raped her. “I’m going to rape you like I rape my daughter,” Rubin allegedly told of his victims. “While arrogance and self-import may convince certain men otherwise, neither money nor power gives any person the right to victimize a woman,” said Jeremy Saland, who represents one of the women.
