Stephen T. Johns: Hero

Edmund Burke once said: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Yesterday, at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, a good man ensured that evil was stopped in its tracks. For his efforts, this hero gave his life so that others might live. The name of the murderer will no doubt go down in infamy, as yet more evil - more hatred - roams the American landscape. But the man who should be remembered, must be remembered, is Stephen T. Johns. No doubt the msm will waste much "ink" with every lurid detail of the sick and twisted hate merchant who shot and killed Mr Johns. I choose to turn my heart instead to Mr Johns:

Mr. Johns, a resident of Temple Hills, Md., was an employee of security firm Wackenhut. He stood a towering 6 feet 5 inches, weighing 300 pounds. Gregory Bryant, Mr. Johns' direct supervisor, described the slain officer as a "gentle giant." "Always with a smile on his face," (here)

There are many items on the internet about Mr. Johns, who was gunned down in the halls of a building dedicated to remembering the millions of victims of virulent hatred. Today, add another name to the long list of heroes who lay down their lives so others might live. Rest well, thou good and faithful servant.
