This is the caption under the photo Fox News ran Friday in their report of 18-year-old Barron Trump’s Graduation at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach:
“Former President Trump and his wife Melania attend the high school graduation”.
Noticeably unidentified in the Fox photo is Viktor Knavs, the much beloved man Barron calls ‘Grandpa’.
Unless his being unidentified was a Fox News oversight or editorial error, not identifying Grandfather Viktor was incredibly petty and mean.
A journalism standard over the centuries is identifying all principles in photographs. However it should go without saying that Fox News is never about “News” but always about ‘Entertainment’.
If not identifying Barron’s Grandfather in a graduation photo was by design and not error, how hurtful on young Barron’s Big Day.
It was only 4 months ago that Melania’s mother Amalija Knavs died at the age of 78 after an undisclosed illness.
“The family mourned the loss of their matriarch, with Melania calling her a “ray of light in the darkest days” in her eulogy, per the Associated Press."
Both grandparents moved into the White House to help raise Barron.
Young Barron comes from a family that puts love of God, country and family first. Friday was a proud day for both his parents and grandparent watching him walk across the stage with his diploma— the final celebrated outcome of his devotion to learning even during difficult times.
As one of 116 seniors at the Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Friday was was, in fact, Barron’s long-awaited Big Day.
There can be no doubt that parents Donald and Melania Trump and grandfather Viktor Knavs were understandably so proud of him.
Untold millions of Barron admirers the world over are proud of him, too.
Congratulations, Barron, the future belongs to you!
