W.H. staffer: "Mr. President, it's been over 50 days since the oil spill started, don't you think you should get in touch with the head of BP, Tony Hayward?"
Obama: "Tony who?"
The above scenario seems all too plausible, given the "what me worry?" lackadaisical response, exhibited so far by the Obama Administration.

Democratic strategist James Carville, and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, have been running around begging D.C. for help with the oil spill, and Washington tells them to "talk to the hand," or in this case, BP.

While Washington dithers, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has told BP (British Petroleum) to "cease and desist" from using the oil dispersant, Corexit-950. BP has basically said, "Whatever," and has blithely continued to release over a million gallons of Corexit into the Gulf, poisoning God knows how much marine life.

A report making the rounds, says that the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources has issued a "doomsday" letter to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. This letter purportedly says that if a hurricane were to hit the Gulf of Mexico, and continue inland, the results would be catastrophic for the Southeastern United States, because of the widespread toxic rainfall resulting from the hurricane picking up Corexit-950 from the Gulf.

The letter has been traced to a fictitious "Russian female journalist" named Sorcha Faal. Columnist Devvy Kidd "outed" Sorcha Faal some time ago, as the num de plume of the "Internet Hoax Queen," David Booth.

Nonetheless, the idea of a hurricane roaring through the Gulf of Mexico, and depositing a toxic mix of crude oil and Corexit, miles inland, has to give one pause. The NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) predicts that it will be an “active to extremely active” hurricane season this year , with an estimated 8 to 14 hurricanes.

Swift, decisive action needs to be taken soon. If the Feds are going to continue to do nothing but fumble the ball, then they should hand it off to someone who will, by God, do something!
My confidence in our government is not helped by the numerous oily tracks leading back and forth between the US government, Goldman Sachs, the CCX (Chicago Climate eXchange), BP, and the Chicago based company Nalco -- manufacturer of Corexit-950.

Given the duplicitous, heavy handed tactics of the Marxist/Fascist Chicago thugocracy/plutocracy currently holding the reins of power in Washington, nothing would surprise me.

I am heartened by the ever-growing tide of patriotism I see across America, and I fully expect "we the people" to rise to the occasion -- we must. As Gen. Paul Vallely (US Army Ret.) recently said, "We cannot continue to self-destruct here." No, we can't.
