The hope and dreams of millions of people is a heavy burden.

President Elect Trump, I have lived through World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, many police actions, the downing of the World Trade Center and the recent rise of Islamic Terrorism. Never in my lifetime have I understood with certainty that one President, one mere moral holds the future of the very existence of The United States as we know it. The hope and dreams of millions of people is a heavy burden. I cannot imagine the weight you must feel as you approach Jan. 20, 2017. I cannot fathom the sacrifice of you and your family. You must be wise, steady, strong, compassionate, tireless and faithful to your promises. Please don't blow this. I am only one person, but I have a voice and a responsibility. I pledge to support you whenever possible and to remind you when you stray. I promise to be more engaged in the governance of our country and to exercise my civic duties. You are not alone.
