Who is this friendly little bird That eats your strawberries and wastes a third. (But you can't get mad at the little thief.) A Robin.

Who sings us such a happy tune, From early morn till afternoon. (And we enjoyed every note.) A Robin. Who eats grasshoppers by the score, Then hops about to find some more. (Better than a bag of Aldrin.) A Robin. Who waits to see how close we'll get, Almost close enough to pet. (He seems to trust us, almost.) A Robin. Who do I watch from my back door, And kind of wish there were some more. (Well, maybe next year.) A Robin. I think I'll let you do the math, Does anything enjoy its bath. (As much as) A Robin. In spite of what you've seen or heard, Who do you think is my favorite bird? (Although I like killdeers, meadowlarks and redwings) A Robin. Allen Brooks Sheridan, WY
