If Democrats don’t pay a severe price for what they’ve done, there is no reason to think they won’t try this on every Supreme Court nominee

Time for a reckoning: Make Democrats pay for what they did by wiping them out in November Denying Brett Kavanaugh the Supreme Court seat for which he is clearly qualified would have rewarded some of the most disgraceful behavior we have ever seen in the political world. Democrats not only endeavored to defame the character of a good man, but they blew up every established protocol designed to protect the various parties who might be involved in a legitimate accusation. Then, when their story was clearly coming apart at the seams, they gleefully dispensed with every semblance of fairness and decency for the purpose of destroying this man’s reputation. These actions were detestable and beneath contempt. It was essential that their efforts not succeed, as this would have green-lighted the same tactics on anyone else they didn’t want hired, appointed, elected or confirmed.

Democrats are measuring the drapes for Nancy Pelosi’s return to the House Speaker’s office

But defeating their efforts was not a sufficient reckoning. What the American people need to do now is take their jobs away from them, and leave no room for doubt that they got broomed because of their actions pertaining to the Kavanaugh nomination. Now obviously, if you read my work at all, you know I would want to see the Democrats wiped out regardless. It would be best for the country if they were gone because they advocate terrible policies and stand in the way of good ones. I’m not trying to pretend I suddenly have a preference. I’ve always had a preference. But there’s an urgency here to send a very stark message for the sake of anyone and everyone who might consider entering public service, but would understandably not want to have their entire life and reputation attacked simply because people sit on the other side of the political spectrum from them. Up until now, conventional wisdom has been that we’re heading for a big blue wave this year. The Democrats are measuring the drapes for Nancy Pelosi’s return to the House Speaker’s office, and although it seems unlikely given the electoral map, they even have dreams of taking over the Senate.

Democrats neither knew nor cared if Blasey Ford’s story was true

If they were to get the bitter surprise of their lives on Election Day – not only to fail to gain control but to lose seats, and lose them big, with the Kavanaugh debacle being the obvious reason – it would send one message with abundant clarity: Don’t ever do that to anyone again. And by the way, this applies even if you think Christine Blasey Ford might have been telling the truth. Why? Because as we’ve discussed here, there are protocols in place in such a situation to protect all parties. Democrats completely violated all of these protocols and caused considerable pain to everyone involved – including her – all because they only thing they cared about was stopping Kavanaugh any way possible. Democrats neither knew nor cared if Blasey Ford’s story was true. They only cared that it was useful to them. That’s why they wouldn’t let it go even after the FBI investigation they demanded turned up nothing to support it. They didn’t care about her well-being in the slightest, nor do they now. They would send her out on the campaign trail and ask her to repeat this story thousands and thousands of times if they thought they could get her to do it, and if they thought it would work. If Democrats don’t pay a severe price for what they’ve done, there is no reason to think they won’t try this on every Supreme Court nominee, and on every candidate, appointee or even staff members if they think they can pull it off. They have absolutely no compunction about destroying your life and your reputation if it stands in the way of their power. So let’s make sure they come out of this with even less power than they have now. Even dogs can learn that certain behaviors have consequences and should not be attempted. It might be hard, but if we really make them suffer they might be able to learn as much as a dog. Of course, dogs are loyal. We’ve got our work cut out for us.
