The reason Carr is launching the investigation is due to concerns that NPR and PBS may be violating federal law by airing prohibited commercial advertisements despite their status as taxpayer-funded, noncommercial broadcasters bound by strict FCC regulations.

For years, conservatives have demanded the defunding of NPR and PBS, citing their blatant left-wing bias. These organizations don’t even attempt to maintain the illusion of neutrality.

From NPR’s senior editor resigning over the network’s overwhelming Democratic slant to PBS commentators openly defending 2020’s violent riots, they have functioned as little more than state-sponsored propaganda arms of the left.

No American taxpayer should be forced to bankroll media outlets that work against their values. If Democrats want NPR and PBS, let them fund it themselves.
