Virginia woman dies after she is struck in chest by wind-blown beach umbrella

A 55-year-old Virginia woman died Wednesday after she was struck in the chest by a wind-blown beach umbrella. The umbrella was anchored in the sand at a Virginia Beach oceanfront when a strong gust of wind carried it toward Lottie Belk. The Chester, Va., resident had been talking to some kids at approximately 5 p.m. when she was struck by the umbrella, a witness told WTKR. Read more...
