During the early 1900's, Marxism expanded and finally took over Russia. Even president Woodrow Wilson was a closet communist. It was Wilson's Marxist movement that started the word games, back in 1913, by referring to Marxists as Progressives.
The practice that Wilson started is nothing more than the manipulation of words with intent to deceive or mislead the listener - a standard communist practice I learned about in the US Army. Woodrow Wilson's progressives, (AKA communists), sounded better than Marxist, and the term fooled the listener into believing they were something other than a communist.
Today, the hardcore communists call themselves liberals. During the campaign, they plied their skills by calling Romney a flip flopper, negative connotation, if he changed his mind about anything.
However, Barry, a bigger flip flopper than Romney ever was, challenged liberals to come up with a word to describe his flip flopping, and they came up with the term "evolving", with a positive connotation they thought. Negative terms are what they use against others who opposed their Marxist agenda.
Moreover, it doesn't matter what they call themselves, or how they twist words, progressives and liberals are still misleading, deceptive communists. In the final analysis, a man changes his mind, and "an ape evolves" - like communists do!
