Fox News on-air pundits were going on and on Saturday night in dismay as to why the news of Whitney Houston’s death was slow to catch onto the social media sites.
The answer is simple: Most of those who live on Twitter and Facebook weren’t around when Whitney was the hottest singer on the planet. My oldest son was a newborn who was literally “rocked” to sleep during the summer of 1988 to Whitney Houston’s second CD which came out in 1987. Whitney Houston’s artistic and commercial success is unknown to this current generation and has yet to be discovered and fully appreciated.
