Brace for it: The descent of Evangelism on the White House will soon pave way for ginned-up ridicule of Christianity.

So far Ralph Drollinger of Capitol Ministries’ recently-established Bible study to members of President Donald Trump’s White House Cabinet has been taking place in weekly studies in the House and Senate and now now leads about a dozen members of President Trump’s Cabinet in weekly studies of the scriptures.

“Health Secretary Tom Price, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Agriculture Secretary Sunny Perdue, and CIA Director Mike Pompeo are just a few of the regulars”. (CBN, July 31)

Drollinger sees his White House bible students as “godly individuals that God has risen to a position of prominence in our culture.”

Whether true or false, it’s bound to cause a ruckus anyway.

“It’s the best Bible study that I’ve ever taught in my life. They are so teachable; they’re so noble; they’re so learned,” Drollinger said.” (CBN)

But watch for the fireworks when a story about the evangelization of Vice President Mike Pence, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and others airs on media giant Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) programs next week.

With mainstream media-stoked hatred of President Donald Trump riding at an all-time high, anti-christian attackers will swoop down on them like vultures to carrion.

“I don’t think Donald Trump has figured out that he chained himself to the Apostle Paul,” Drollinger laughed.”(CBN)

That the president has “chained” himself to the Apostle Paul is bound to bring more screams of outrage than laughs from the anti-Trumpers gunning for his less than Biblical downfall.

Down copy in the CBN story: “President Trump is invited to attend the Bible studies, too. Each week he receives a copy of Drollinger’s teaching”. (CBN)

Each day, the president gets flagged by the latest news on Drudge, Breitbart (and hopefully) Canada Free Press too, Rev. Drollinger.

“And Vice President Pence is also planning to join the study as his schedule permits. He also serves as a sponsor. (CBN)

“In Pence, Drollinger sees many similarities to biblical figures like Joseph, Mordecai and Daniel – all men who rose to the number two position in governments at different times in history.

“Mike Pence has respect for the office. He dresses right - like it says Joseph cleaned himself up before he went to stand before the Pharaoh,” Drollinger told CBN News.

“Mike Pence has uncompromising biblical tenacity and he has a loving tone about him that’s not just a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal,” he continued. “And then fourthly, he brings real value to the head of the nation.”
“Like others, Drollinger often compares President Trump to biblical strongman Samson.”

Is Drollinger trying to get the president killed?

“I just praise God for them,” he said. “And I praise God for Mike Pence, who I think with Donald Trump chose great people to lead our nation.” (CBN)

The story to be broadcast by CBN next week was produced by Jennifer Wishon, CBN White House Correspondent.

“In promoting the story on her Facebook Page, Ms. Wishon said:

“So get this, a dozen members of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet and Vice President Mike Pence have committed to study the Bible together weekly.

“This hasn’t happened in at least a hundred years!

“Don’t miss my interview with the man shepherding some of the most powerful men and women in the nation.”

“Capitol Ministries launched the Bible study to Cabinet Members earlier this year. It joins two weekly Bible studies that Drollinger has taught for years to U.S. Senators and Representatives in Washington, D.C. (Capitol Ministries)

“The Capitol Ministries Bible studies are sponsored by Vice President Mike Pence, eight Cabinet Members, and 56 U.S. Senators and Representatives.

“Capitol Ministries, which has planted Bible studies in 40 state Capitols and 24 foreign nations, has a mission to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to political leaders around the world.”

Some already see the Trump cabinet’s weekly prayer and Bible lessons as a “diabolical plot”.

“With a White House administration that embraces wild conspiracy theories as the source of its policies at home and abroad, it is seemingly hypocritical to proffer what sounds like a conspiracy theory to warn Americans their government is being hijacked. This isn’t about Vladimir Putin inserting himself in the White House, but it is every bit as dangerous as a hostile foreign power dismantling America’s government. Some Americans are skeptical when they hear there is a concerted effort to create a theocracy to replace the democratically-elected government and replace the Constitution with the Christian bible, but they are wrong to be skeptical; they should be absolutely terrified” (The Diabolical Plot Behind Trump Cabinet’s Weekly Prayer and Bible Lessons—PoliticusUSA)— April 22, 2017).

“In a report in Raw Story citing about weekly prayer meetings and Bible study held to proselytize Trump’s cabinet into evangelical fundamentalists’ worldview, it turns out that Jeff Sessions is a close and devoted friend to a fanatical Christian preacher responsible for the indoctrination. The man who was disavowed by his own congregation for being too bigoted and extreme is Pastor Ralph Drollinger. Drollinger runs the website Capitol Ministries whose stated purpose is making disciples of Christ in the Capitol and spreading Christian fundamentalism among the people leading the U.S. government.

“For an idea of the nefarious plot behind the weekly Bible and prayer lessons for the Cabinet, Drollinger’s favorite politician is an evangelical fanatic, Michele Bachmann. In fact, Drollinger claims his dream is setting up a factory to pump out more right wing Christian politicians like Bachmann. Bachmann serves on Drollinger’s Capitol Ministries board because he admires her “unerring instincts” in applying her Christian faith to the law.

“She thinks Biblically, She doesn’t need a whole lot of time to figure out how to vote because she sees the world through a scriptural lens. We need more men and women like her in office.”

“To achieve that end, Drollinger convinced Trump or somebody in his administration that his Cabinet needs weekly prayer meetings and bible lessons. According to the article, preacher Drollinger holds three weekly prayer and Bible study groups each week. The meetings include one for Cabinet members, one for the Senate, and one for members of the House. The bible and prayer meetings are held at various locations including rotating Senator’s offices and the Capitol; the Trump Cabinet members religious indoctrination location is undisclosed.

“Drollinger, besides being a loyal friend of A.G. Jeff Session said in January that it was his scriptural teachings that developed Sessions’ radical anti-immigrant views. Those views were evident during Sessions’ confirmation hearings leading Drollinger to boast:

“I’ve had the distinct honor of teaching him on this subject, and many others. There’s nothing more exciting, when you’re a Bible teacher, to see one of the guys you’re working with — to see him or her articulate something you’ve taught them when they’re under the gun.”

“Obviously, that teaching includes convincing Sessions that the Separation Clause is unconstitutional and that should concern every American; especially when this religious extremist is holding three weekly Bible and prayer lessons for Trump’s cabinet as well as members of the House and Senate. Remember, Drollinger’s stated goal is spreading Christian fundamentalism to America’s leaders.

“Although there have been, and still are, predictions that religion is declining around the world, including in America, nothing could be farther from the truth. It is true that the numbers of newly indoctrinated are not exploding and are instead declining, but declining numbers or not – evangelical fundamentalists now control the United States government. And yes, it is also true that not all Christians are maniacal Christofascists, but history proves that religious fervor is a very deadly, and extremely virulent thing that will rampage through a nation. The Jewish Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, the Crusades and even ISIS caught up what were probably decent human beings and transformed them into murderous monsters in the name of religion.

“This is already happening in America with an Education Secretary intent on using public schools and taxpayer dollars to advance god’s kingdom. The Supreme Court just heard arguments intended to tear down the barriers between church and state, and Trump is panting to give churches more political power by repealing the Johnson Amendment.

“Any one of these abominations are frightening in and of themselves, and yet there is nothing anyone can do to stop them; the media is as guilty as the religious fanatics. But combined with a concerted effort, apparently with Trump’s blessing, to spread Christian fundamentalism throughout the halls of power and Trump’s Cabinet, Americans should be terrified, not skeptical because this is real and it is happening now.”

Nothing mentioned by RMuse of PoliticusUSA or the mainstream media about the dramatic increase of Christian persecution worldwide, nothing about how God continues to be drummed out of the Public Square.

Christian faith is not “religious fervor”.

Nor do people have to be at the mercy of Islamic terrorism to suffer because of their beliefs.

Former president Barack Obama referred to Christians as “bitter clingers”, and in one of his most vitriolic speeches said they should made to “climb down from their high horses”.

Capitalist Ministries is not forcing Bible Studies on anyone in the Trump cabinet, but merely making them available for anyone who wants to participate.

Brace for it: Insulting Christianity will become more virulent now that Bible Studies are being offered in the White House.
