COB MAREZ - Bashar Gumaa, a resident of Al Quba stands with his daughter, inside the Al Quba Medical Clinic, after the ribbon cutting ceremony, officially marking the clinic's opening, Feb. 14, 2011. The clinic opened a few weeks ago to meet the medical needs of Al Quba residents, who prior to the clinic had to travel to cities outside the village for medical treatment.

Adal Ismail, Dir. of health for Ninewa prov., cuts the ribbon commemorating the official opening of Al Quba Medical Clinic. Tom Baker, right, an officer in the Fwd Engineering Support Team-Advanced, a part of the Reconstruction Cell at USD-North, attended the event, to witness the completion of the project. Baker worked with local Iraqi govt officials to complete the project for approx 2,400 people who reside in Al Quba. "The fact that we brought care to people in need makes me feel terrific."
