Israel's enemies continue to use the "human rights" argument to spread their poison

Canada needs to nip it in the bud

The anti-Israel propaganda war, mainly in Europe but now in full swing in Australia, is yet in it's infancy state in Canada and the U.S. We need to stop this thing in it's ugly tracks.

Stephen Harper and his government are to be commended for standing alone in the latest UN Human Rights Council's one-sided fiasco where an anti-Semitic resolution passed 33 to one, with 13 abstentions. Fallaciously, yet seemingly successfully, Israel's enemies continue to use the "human rights" argument to spread their poison. Consider Article 7 of the Hamas Charter and then tell me we should sit down and "negotiate" with the Hamas. It reads "The day of judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and tees will say O Muslims, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him." Michael Ignatieff said last Thursday ""Hamas is a terrorist organization and Canada can't touch Hamas with a 10-foot pole. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton bluntly told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee "We cannot negotiate with Hamas until it renounces violence, recognizes Israel and agrees to abide by past agreements." Every Canadian should be proud we chose to go it alone at the UNHRC. It proves we truly care about human rights. Gerald Hall Parksville, B.C.
