Christian Attorneys In Africa Fight to Stop Sexual Slavery and Child Marriage In Kenya

The East African Centre for Law and Justice (EACLJ), an affiliate of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), is working to end violations happening to girls as young as ten years old in Samburu County in Northern Kenya. CeCe Heil, executive counsel with the ACLJ, says the child brides often face rape and even mutilation. “Even though Kenya has strict laws in place making all these things illegal in protecting these little girls, unfortunately, a lot of the perpetrators never are turned in or never brought to court and brought to justice,” Heil laments.
