Spare us all your useless political rhetoric, Conservative Interim Leader Candice Bergen and all Conservatives positioning themselves to replace outgoing Conservative leader Erin O’Toole!
Your rhetoric totalled diddly-squat to Save Canada from becoming a frightening dictatorship, the moment Justin Trudeau invoked The Emergency Act. Diddly-Squat!
With the Emergency Measures Act now firmly in place, the Trudeau regime went on to freeze bank accounts of all those in support of the Freedom Convoy, and threaten to remove pets—and even children—from protesting truckers.
“To deal with the current threats, our government is invoking the Emergencies Act. The scope of the Act is time-limited and targeted, reasonable, and proportionate–and it gives law enforcement agencies more tools to restore public order and protect people,” Trudeau said on Twitter about his government’s decision to invoke the act.”Where was the protection for individuals trampled by police horses, including an elderly lady with a walker, on Friday afternoon?! Dictator Trudeau has until tomorrow to ratify the Act. Have Conservatives managed to come come up with anything other than rhetoric to try to stop him?

“(OTTAWA) With Ottawa Police arresting people for waving flags and standing in defence of their Charter Rights, Randy Hillier expressed his outrage at the stunning silence coming from Parliament, especially conservative members, who once were stalwart defenders of the Charter. “Our elected representatives’ primary responsibility is the safeguarding of the people’s Charter Rights, yet not one MP came out and publicly condemned the actions of the police and our Prime Minister today,” said Hillier. “They are too cowardly to even debate the Emergencies Act, while it is executed upon the people they represent.” “Hillier noted the unprecedented violation of civil rights occurring in Ottawa. “When the police are sent to charge and arrest non-violent protesters, and banks are authorized to seize the accounts of the Prime Minister’s political opponents, we know democracy has fallen,” said Hillier. “This is not only a very dark day for Canada, but for all western liberal democracies,” Hillier added. “I call upon all elected representatives from all levels of government to come to Ottawa, honour your oath, and come defend our Charter.”
