What if the mayor and council of your fair town were to announce they have unanimously decided that we would be interested in getting a brand new multi-million dollar halfway housing complex for people like Bernardo and Homolka to live in, while they adjust to the outside world? Just what would the citizens' reactions be?
Searching the internet showed me many newspaper articles about similar scenarios, that when people found out, the majority were totally outraged even to the point of becoming a mob, they were that upset. Why?
What if the mayor and council or the local police of your town were to announce unanimously that they would be interested in relocating child sex offenders to your location with the promise of multi-million dollar funding from Government? Just what would the citizens reactions be? Searching the Internet showed just how upset the majority of locals and even people from surrounding communities became with similar scenarios. Again I ask why?
Any decent caring person, parent or grandparent will be able to answer the why question. Internet articles on the subject confirmed that the number one reason is, they all want to protect their children and others around them, whether they are young children, teenagers or older adults, from known and convicted threats.
When I read and heard the mayor and his council followers of our town, Port Elgin, announce unanimously that they would be interested in getting a nuclear waste dump site I have to wonder why the people in this and other towns are not outraged.
Here is the biggest known guaranteed convicted killer and threat ever to all life being invited here to stay. There is no doubt that even a small accident or “An Unforeseeable Incident” as the Nuclear Industry likes to refer to it, will cause a horrific death. There is absolutely no doubt a larger “Unforeseeable Incident” will cause a horror beyond our belief. Do not; look at the pictures on the internet of the many 1000’s of deformed and dead children because of nuclear material unforeseeable incidents. It makes no difference if it’s just any nuclear waste, it still kills.
Why is having a nuclear waste dump so fascinating to our mayor and others? Is it the promise of millions of dollars, which allows them to gamble with you and your children’s lives?
Maybe you, your family and friends would enjoy being a victim of an unforeseeable incident?
You have the opportunity to do something about it now but later after one of those “Unforeseeable Incidents”, all you might be able to do is bury your dead and cry.
