Free speech: riots, car burnings OK, sharing of ideas via the internet must be filtered controlled

Does anybody see any similarities to other oppressive regimes?

Isn't it interesting that riots, and protests and street blocking and flag burning are protected under free speech but free and open sharing of ideas via the internet must be filtered and controlled. You can praise Castro or Guevara but God forbid you think that Donald Trump or Allen West or Rudy Guiliani are great. The argument about "fake news" is a smoke screen. If you talk to those people who participate in riots and the like, they are often (not always) as misinformed as anyone you'll ever meet. The message is that it is OK to express some views, take some actions, behave in certain manners, if it coincides with the ruling elite. Does anybody see any similarities to other oppressive regimes?
