For 7 years our nation has been protected against attack because of our men and women in uniform doing their jobs. Our military has guarded our nation and our heritage around the clock, 24, 7, 365. Our military families have done without dad, mom, sister, brother for several years many of whom will never return from duty because they paid the ultimate sacrifice.
WE THE PEOPLE are in debt to the great men and women of our military. The U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines have stepped up for us... will we step forward for them?
It is so easy to focus on the failing economy, loss of jobs and a faltering Wall Street. America is strong and will recover but not without a strong military. Our society has a wonderful foundation based upon the values embedded in our Constitution, however, that same foundation is only as strong as the men and women that defend our values.
The men and women in our military are there for you. The question is: Will the American people be able to take their eyes off themselves this holiday season and look after those who guarantee our freedom and safety?
YES, the American people are strong, resilient and remember our men and women in uniform. Fellow citizens remember them in their prayers, their cards, and their packages from home and their unselfish gifts. WE THE PEOPLE honor our men and women as they honor us with their altruistic service.
YES, America is filled with grateful Citizens that remember our military family. YES, YOU are the American people who remember our military. Will you be thankful for the self sacrifice that is given daily by our finest? G.I. America does.

Dear God, thank you for our friends and family in uniform that are not present at our table today. Please bless them, watch over them and protect them from evil and pain and sorrow. My family and I lift them up to YOU. Please bring them safely back home to us and their loving families. We are grateful for their sacrifice and grateful for our wonderful nation. Please guide and protect our beloved nation, our United States of America.
