Grayson Murray, two-time PGA Tour winner, dead at 30

The PGA Tour has announced that golfer Grayson Murray died Saturday morning. He was 30 years old.

"We were devastated to learn – and are heartbroken to share – that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words," said PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan in a statement.

JUST IN: PGA tour golfer Grayson Murray has died at the age of 30, shortly after withdrawing in the middle of a tournament this week.

Murray played 16 holes at the Charles Schwab Challenge before withdrawing, citing an “illness.”

Murray played 16 holes at the Charles Schwab Challenge before withdrawing, citing an “illness.”

“We were devastated to learn and are heartbroken to share that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,” PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement.

Murray shot a two-under-par 68 on Thursday.

He previously had battled depression and anxiety.
