Hype rather than substance

That "Trump got 2 billion in free media" is probably a true statement. Is that his fault. No way.

Our media is controlling the election. They are calling campaigns as failing before the people weigh in. They give unequal coverage, sensationalize stories and run their news cycles on hype rather than substance. I wonder how things would shake out if the election was 6 months only, the total amount spent was equal for all and media coverage was blacked out which would require candidates to travel to speak to the people or send their representatives. Frankly, I am sick to death of the media telling me what they want me to believe and showing me what they want me to see. And the campaign ads are sleazy pieces of crap. Shirley Reynolds
