The President looked the American people in the eye and said, "If you like your Doctor, you can keep your Doctor". That is if he or she hasn't quit or stopped taking your insurance or Medicare.
In the last 3 years the number of Doctors who are no longer taking Medicare has tripled. And many more are not taking new Medicare patients or limiting the number they accept.
Physicians who do accept Medicare are facing a 25% cut in 2014. It would seem that further reduction in those treating Medicare patients will certainly follow. And patient care WILL suffer.
So, you see, it really isn't your choice and it never was your choice. So, did the President lie?
I was taught that intentionally leaving out information is lying by omission.
