Madrid vows to stop Catalan independence declaration

Madrid (AFP) - Spain will do "everything within the law" to prevent Catalonia from declaring independence, Justice Minister Rafael Catala said Monday, a day after Catalonia's regional government declared victory in a banned secession referendum.
