No one asked NBC’s Whining Kristen Welker To Travel “All The Way” To Wisconsin For Yet Another ‘Gotcha’ Trump Interview

So Much For Entitled ‘Journalists’;

"Your elections are crooked, and you’re crooked, and ‘Meet the Press’ is crooked. And so is ABC and CBS and CNN," Trump said before ending Today’s ridiculous “Meet the Press” interview.

President Donald J. Trump won that round, NBC. Next?

Popular Indiana-based Canada Free Press columnist Bruce Smith included an email from his mail out list to the CFP office today, writing: “So sick and tired of these ankle biters shrieking ‘there’s no evidence!’” about election fraud.

As a lifelong career journalist, I consider Smith’s line : “And she traveled all the way to Wisconsin, she whined” as perfectly SPOT-ON!

No one asked Welker’s “Meet the Press” interview set up to “travel all the way to Wisconsin”. NBC decided it was a convenient opportunity to attack the president for pointing out that California is now part of the crooked elections voters saw in the allegedly “rigged” 2020 Election.

“Meet the Press” interview with host Kristen Welker in Wisconsin Sunday after she repeatedly challenged his (President Trump’s) claims about election fraud, California’s vote count and his proposed “anti-weaponization fund” (Fox News, June 7, 2026).

    “Trump cut off the interview after accusing NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN of being “crooked” during a final exchange over his claims about U.S. elections. (Fox News)
    “You’re a one-sided crooked network,” Trump told Welker.
    “Sorry, let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough. Thank You darling. Have a good time.”
    “Welker attempted to keep the interview going, noting that NBC had traveled to Wisconsin for the sit-down.
    "Mr. President, let’s... please, I traveled all the way to Wisconsin," Welker said.
    “Trump said he had already given Welker enough time."I sat in the rain with you for an hour," Trump said. "On and off in the rain, and I’ve given you enough time. You ought to straighten out your press, because you know what? A country can never be great with a dishonest press."

Proof of the interview having to come in out of the rain is evidenced in the picture of it taking place in what looks like a Wisconsin barn with a John Deere tractor and even bales of hay on the floor.

Meanwhile, CFP is happy to report that NBC’s “gotcha” “Meet the Press” interview badly backfired on them, leaving whining Welker looking absurd for whining she had to travel all the way to Wisconsin for a planned interview with media savvy President Trump.

Borrowing from the President’s often used words, Thank You, Bruce Smith for “bringing our attention to this matter”.
