With the new terrorist attack against the U.S., President Obama has decided to review how travellers are placed on watch lists and how explosives are detected. He’s just doing this now?

Obama Goes to a Luau as Terrorists Visit the United States

Todd M. Schoenberger, Contributing Editor, Taipan Publishing Group's Tipping Point Alert and Taipan Daily
As someone who lives 1,600 miles from immediate family, I look forward to the holidays as an opportunity to visit and reconnect with loved ones. But, after the terrorist attack aboard Northwest flight 253 on Christmas Day, it may be best to just forgo visits during the major holidays and pick non-peak times to get together.

In case you don’t know what happened and rely on this column as your one-and-only news source (and who can blame you), one of these insecure animals who has a desire to satisfy a fantasy of meeting 70 virgins decided he was going to take down a plane of grandparents who were to set to visit family for the holidays. Instead, he set himself on fire (what a genius) and was subdued by passengers known more for geriatric planning than playing the role of air marshal.

The White House Decides to Take Action

So, in classic government fashion, the Obama administration – all the way from the beaches in Hawaii – decided to “investigate how travellers are placed on watch lists and explosives are detected on passengers.” Whoa there, cowboy! You mean to tell me that it takes an episode that very nearly took the moniker Christmas Day Massacre to get an idea of how travellers are placed on watch lists?!? Wow! Who is running the show at the White House – Timmy the Teleprompter??

Who the Heck Screwed Up Here?

Now, what makes this event even more disturbing is the 23-year old terrorist hopeful is one of these vocal, anti-American idiots who should have been placed on the no-fly list. So, not only did the guy get to board the plane – if he really wanted to, he could’ve been set free inside the United States. Instead, his mission was to kill 300 people, but could have been focused on a more sinister plot of something much more destructive. I’m not sure how you guys are feeling today, but I certainly don’t feel safe. After the apologizing tour the president gave to the world this year, it’s crystal clear that this administration isn’t only inept in protecting us, but has reverted back to the pre-September 11th days of “nothing is going to happen to us” mentality. Want more evidence? Take a look at what Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday morning on CNN: “One thing I’d like to point out is that the system worked. And he was stopped before any damage could be done.” President Bush said a few years following September 11th that every day that went by meant we were a little safer than the day before because of intelligence gathered about Al-Qaeda. Now, it seems every day President Obama is in office, the country is becoming more vulnerable than the day before.
