Obama's "Christianity"

I had an interesting conversation with a friend recently about whether or not President Obama is a Christian. In Matthew 7:16, the Bible says, " By their fruit you will recognize them". In other words, professing Christian values is a very different thing than living Christian values. I have not seen actions by the President that allows me to recognize him as a Christian. By his actions, I can easily recognize him as a Muslim. Christians long ago started calling the killing of Christians in Syria, genocide. The President has yet to utter the words.

In the last 8 years, references to our Christian heritage have been systematically dropped from ceremonies, speeches and customs. The White House "Christmas Card" contains no Christian references. The change began with the Obamas, up until 2009, most cards from the White House had references to Christmas or a Christmas picture. I don't believe many people--including Muslims--deny their religion. President Obama denies his religion, if he is a Christian, by his actions he is eliminating every reference to it. The President, as with each of us, has a right to practice the religion of his choice, including Islam. He simply needs to admit the obvious. Sincerely, Verna Rock Port Charlotte, FL
