Between 2003 and 2016 under the Ontario Liberal's, Ontari-owe's net public debt grew to $307 billion from $138.8 billion--an increase of $179-billion. The net debt-to-GDP ratio rose to 40% from 27.5% in 2003, only a record the Ontario Liberals could be proud of.
The debt clock continues to tick upwards.
The Wynne Liberals have now opened up the Bank of Ontari-owe to finance loans for the sale of Hydro One stock..
Premier Wynne says Ontari-owe needs cash urgently and went public after former Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper for an extra 12 billions dollars a year in transfer payments ( It must be noted premier Wynne has not gone public to ask Liberal prime minister Justin Trudeau for the extra 12 billion a year.) Premier Wynne also stated the 60% sale of Hydro One was required to generate a cash flow along with other Ontario assets which are to be sold, so I must ask why is Ontari-owe financing loans for the sale of Hydro One stock.
The provincial debt is predicted to rise over the next 5 years for a grand total of 350 billion dollars according to Stephen, Leclair Ontario's financial accountability officer. He also noted Ontario used to make 750 million dollars a year from Hydro One, which we will longer make do to the 60% sale and Ontario will lose the 100 million dollars a year we get from Hydro One in lieu of taxes they paid due to this sale. Leclair also noted that the 60% sale of Hydro One will only add to Ontari-owe's debt problems, so I must ask why are the Liberals so intent on destroying Ontari-owe now and for future generations with this massive debt they created and ensuring Ontari-owe has the highest hydro rates in North America and their policies of taxing and putting fees on everything we buy or use .
I would also like to note Ontari_owe does not have revenue problem the Liberals have a serious problem of mismanaging funds and policy making.. Premier Wynne and her Liberal party seem not to care about the 300,000 manufacturing jobs lost in Ontario or the damage they continue to do with their tax and hydro rate policies which continues to drive investment and companies out of Ontario but are more interested in rewarding their public service union buddies in return for the Liberal vote.
