President Trump honored National Guard Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, who was shot in the head by a terrorist from Afghanistan
TRUMP: “With God’s help, Andrew battled back from the edge of death and we’re talking about the edge of death”
This is the feel-good moment of whole night.
But Trump had a massive surprise for Andrew at the end.
“On his way to a miraculous recovery…but he’s doing great.”
“So Andrew, while you’re up, now I’m going to ask a highly respected general to present Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe and the great family of Sarah Beckstrom with the award created by our late great president George Washington himself.”
“It’s called the Purple Heart!”
[Crowd erupts]
This is the feel-good moment of whole night.
