The Great Divide

The problem with our government at all levels is that those making the decisions live by a different set of rules than you and I.

Take healthcare - while the State is trying to decide if it will implement parts of Obamacare -- those making the call get healthcare for about 1/12th of what we pay. I'm fairly sure those legislators haven't tried to stay healthy using the Medicaid system or tried to get a specialist to see them under Medicare. And they certainly haven't had to pay $400 or more a month for healthcare premiums that even then, carry deductibles and co-pays. In fact, it's reported that Gov. Scott and his wife pay $400 annually. Most of us could afford private insurance at those rates. How do we sign up? More and more there is a great divide. And it's getting deeper and wider with every new law or rule. Those in the seats of power aren't looking out for us, they are looking out for #1. It's your right and responsibility to speak out against this and other inequities. It's your voice. Use it or lose it. Jennie Veary Englewood, FL
