The Meaning of “Honor”

Some of the civil rights activists should probably have actually attended the recent Glenn Beck “Restoring Honor” rally. Maybe they would have learned something.

To claim that the Ku Klux Klan and the Tea Party “have to be used interchangeably” is a harsh statement – especially when no proof whatsoever is provided that there is ANY resemblance between the two ideologies. This was more Progressive “hate speech”, based on nothing more than the speaker’s own personal bigotry, and maliciously aimed at “labeling” anyone who disagrees with that bigotry. Webster’s Dictionary defines “honor” as, among other things, “a keen sense of ethical conduct: integrity”, and further defines “integrity” as “incorruptibility” or “honesty”. Please tell me of an instance where Tea Party activists have hanged anyone, as the Klan did. You can’t, because it hasn’t happened. Is there an instance where Tea Party activists have planted a burning cross in front of anyone’s home, as the Klan did? No? Didn’t think so. Did Tea Party members ever kidnap and torture anyone, as the Klan did? Not that either? Gee. In fact, rather than call for the elimination of all races except white, the Tea Party rallies welcome attendees of ALL races. Hmmm, never saw that at a Klan rally! And while we're at it, who was it who stood, armed, outside the polls during the Presidential Election to intimidate voters? Was it the KKK? No. Was it Tea Party members? No. It was the new-and-improved, Black Panthers, an organization that comes far closer to the Klan than Tea Party folks ever could. Can someone tell me of any instance where Tea Party members have rioted, beaten people and destroyed property as an expression of their political displeasure? No one can, because it hasn’t happened. However, the news archives are full of photos, videos, police and news reports covering 40 years of injuries and destruction in riots from one end of America to the other – fueled by Progressive “community organizers”, and carried out by the Panthers’ kindred spirits. I guess I shouldn’t have expected anything different from the Left. They have no Honor, so how could they possibly understand a rally aimed at restoring it? Perhaps they need to broaden their vocabulary beyond the word “racist” – to include the word “hypocrite”. © 2010 Diana Clark Diana Clark is a Christian, grandmother, conservative Constitutionalist, a Vet, from three generations of Vets - and would rather do a good CW two-step than eat.
