Either before his first victory, or maybe shortly after, Mr. Obama compared himself to Abraham Lincoln. I felt very insulted about this, but after a while I decided to do a little extra research.

Abraham Lincoln cared nothing about the slaves and the Emancipation Proclamation was nothing but a tool to prevent an unnecessary war. His main interest in the slaves was to gather them all and ship them off to Liberia. Refer to Henry Clay’s eulogy by Mr. Lincoln. Any mention of settling any new land in the country during the civil war (by Mr. Lincoln) was strictly for free “white” men. Research on Abraham Lincoln is very hard to do and his records are very well protected. “The Real Lincoln” by Thomas J. DiLorenzo with a forward by Walter E. Williams is an excellent read about him. There is even a chapter that reveals Mr. Lincoln as a “wannabe” dictator, much like the one we have in DC now. Phyllis Handkins
