Trump’s Chamberlain Moment

Only days ago, it was the two year anniversary of October 7, 2023. But that is not going to be the largest attack Hamas launches on Israel. The current “peace plan” now makes that attack inevitable;

Donald Trump is starting to look like a famous British prime minister. Unfortunately, that prime minister is not Winston Churchill, but rather Neville Chamberlain.

The only parts of Trump’s “20 point peace plan” that will come to fruition is Israel releasing thousands of terrorist murderers

Donald Trump was famous before being elected president as a shrewd, brilliant, business negotiator. I believe he lost his first re-election attempt because upon being elected president, he was expecting to deal with tough politicians and canny deal makers and that was his specialty.

However, it turned out in dealing with the Democrat party, he was dealing with Satanic evil. You can not negotiate with Satanic evil. With Hamas, Trump is dealing with Satanic evil. No negotiations are possible. But apparently he has not learned his lesson.

Do not misunderstand, I admire and support Trump. But he is not God, only God is God. Trump is the best of men, but the best of men fall victim to hubris.

The only parts of Trump’s “20 point peace plan” that will come to fruition is Israel releasing thousands of terrorist murderers to kill Israeli civilians again, and a triumphant Hamas, with European cheering, celebrating a monumental victory over Israel.

Neville Chamberlain’s Legacy

We all now know how posterity views Neville Chamberlain. Chamberlain has come down in history as a boob, a moron, an incompetent, a sucker, whose failed and cowardly policy of appeasement stabbed Czechoslovakia in the back and condemned the entire free world to the bloodiest conflict humanity has ever seen…until now at least. Chamberlain’ s failure was on such a grand scale that even people who know little about history have heard the name.

But until his dealings with Hitler, he was none of those things. He was a tough, shrewd politician who successfully forged his way through every step of the British political jungle. He was known as an authoritarian Prime Minister, a tough negotiator, a tough customer.

Neville Chamberlain ruled the cabinet and party with a dictatorial style. He had total and supreme confidence in his decision making. He crushed opposition within his party to his policies, including appeasement. He knew he was always right. He viewed opposition to appeasement as treasonous and was “ruthless in silencing dissent”.

An article at the Imperial War Museum site states '’Chamberlain was however, not a weak man, despite the way in which he has often been portrayed. In fact, he was a domineering, often stubborn Prime Minister, who ruled his Cabinet and the Conservative Party with an iron hand.”

Sounds familiar? “Domineering, stubborn, rules with iron hand” can all be used to describe Trump. Indeed these are all some of Trump’s greatest positive attributes. But the difference between a positive attribute and a fault can be thinner than that of a piece of paper.

Chamberlain came back from meeting Hitler famously declaring he had achieved "peace for our time”. And he was celebrated almost universally a hero for it. The London Times wrote upon this occasion "No conqueror returning from a victory on the battlefield had come adorned with nobler laurels”.

Chamberlain’s mistake was wanting peace. And believing you can negotiate with Hitler. Trump's mistake is wanting peace, what sane man does not want peace, and believing you can negotiate with Hamas or with any Islamists for that matter.

Peace For Our Time

Of course Trump sincerely wants peace. But it’s clear he also wants a Nobel Peace Prize that an Israeli-Hamas “peace treaty” may bring him. But before he is so gung-ho on the prize, he should take a look at who has won a Nobel peace prize and what they “accomplished”. It will not put him in good company.

Henry Kissinger, Le Duc Tho, Anwar Sadat, Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, Yasser Arafat, Shimon Perez, Kofi Annan, Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, Barack Hussein Obama… they might as well call it the “let’s tear down civilization prize.” You wonder how Hitler and Chamberlain missed getting one? Yes, they were nominated.

If Trump wins a Nobel Peace Prize, he will share it with Hamas.

The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions

Israel has won every war and lost every peace. It looks like like thanks to “negotiated peace” Hamas will be handed total victory, and the sacrifice of thousands of soldiers and civilians for the postage stamp sized state of Israel will be in vain.

Thousands of Hamas terrorists will be freed to kill again, and they certainly will kill again. Hamas will have the opportunity to rearm to a greater extent than its ever been armed, to be stronger than ever with all of Europe confirming its legitimacy. The Islamist, and the European goal, is a Hamas-Palestinian state “stretching from river to sea” incorporating all of “colonialist occupied” Palestine.

Only days ago, it was the two year anniversary of October 7, 2023. But that is not going to be the largest attack Hamas launches on Israel. The current “peace plan” now makes that attack inevitable.
