There are literally thousands of quotes, speeches and even sermons of our earliest Presidents, founding fathers and members of congress honoring God/Jesus Christ, giving credit to God for our freedom, moral and legal development and for our very existence.

The first Day of Prayer was declared by the Continental Congress in 1775
In 1952 both Houses of Congress called upon the President to set aside a day each year as National Day of Prayer.
Then there is that secular reminder of our classic flag folding ceremony described by the Uniformed Services Code. This has always been the traditional way of honoring soldiers on Memorial Day, Veterans Day or at military funerals.
There are 12 folds that all mean specific symbolic things. I won’t go through them all but give you a taste of a few. Fold 11 represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies, in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
The 12th fold and final fold refers to the eyes of a Christian citizen, represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in their eyes, God the Father, the Son, and Holy Ghost.
Once the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost, reminding of our national motto, ‘In God We Trust.’
I don’t believe our national motto says, In Pee Wee Herman we trust; In Muhammad we trust; In Sex, power and fame we trust; In global warming we trust, nor In Obama we trust. IT IS MOST CLEAR AND HAS BEEN SINCE THE FOUNDATION OF OUR COUNTRY THAT WE ARE INDEED A CHRISTIAN FRAMED NATION WITH A CLEAR HISTORY OF CHRISTIAN THOUGHT, SCHOOLING AND LAW.
President Obama says he is a Christian. Is there a new kind of Christian out there now called a ‘Mystery Christian?’ This is the person who says they are a Christian if it is politically expedient, but in truth is ashamed of the gospel, message of Christ and Biblical teaching.
Obama had the White House call Georgetown University and wanted the symbol of Jesus by the podium covered, since President Obama would be speaking. Why?
God in His Holy Bible, creator of all life says life is precious, unique and valuable. So why does Mr. Christian have the most aggressive abortion record of any congressman in history? A real Christian couldn’t possibly vote for partial birth abortion, infanticide and abortion, period.
Attacks continue in various forms against free and Christian speech
Keep your eyes on the FCC and Obama once the new commissioners are assigned. They have said they will push the Fairness Doctrine Pie Squared. They will just call it something totally different, dealing with localism issues. This is meant as a full on assault to freedom of speech in talk radio and Christian speech. We must all fight this if we still want talk radio to thrive.
Now meeting in your home with a small Bible study isn’t allowed?
Oh yes, in San Diego, a local pastor and his wife say they were threatened and interrogated by a San Diego County official. This couple’s attorney Dean Broyles of The Western Center for Law and Policy said the county asked, ‘Do you have a regular meeting in your home?’ Yes. ‘Do you say praise the Lord?’ Yes. They were then notified by the county that with an average of 15 people attending their Bible study they were in violation of county regulations. The county was hiding behind such concerns as “traffic’ issues etc…
So, when is San Diego county going to go after those meeting for poker nights, Tupperware parties, weekly baseball games and other clubs? Of course, they won’t. This is just more persecution and hyper focus on freedom of speech as it pertains to Christians and conservatives.
Rep. Barney Frank, sponsoring HR 1913, Hate Crimes Bill, which would not only give a special classification of protection for Gay people but over 500 other classifications of sexual deviance such as pedophiles, those who have sex with animals and dead people….all most protected and special. The danger behind such a bill being voted in is that Pastors quoting from the wrong scriptures regarding gay behavior could be accused of a felony if anyone had happened to hear something in a message and decided to attack a Gay person. Not only could the jerk who did the attacking be arrested but so could the Pastor several states away who merely was reading from the Bible regarding gay behavior that the attacker happened to reference to the police. This bill would easily start to strangle freedom of speech, Christian speech, talk radio, anyone who happened to have an opinion on Gay marriage, gay curriculum and gay demonstrations.
We are sadly in a very real stage in our country where we MUST FIGHT for our freedoms, rights, enforcement of real law and our constitution. More T parties are coming up July 4th, make sure you go and grab a bunch of friends. Let’s all exercise our freedom of speech, bring cameras to document the various T parties and be on excellent behavior as we were last time.
