Why Mark Carney will Cave to the U.S., Trump and Elon Musk

Now where am I going with this? Well, it’s kind of funny that so many things touch Mark Carney, American corporations and Elon Musk

Always remember--Business is business no matter who gets in the way…

More and more Canadians are very concerned about what is happening between the U.S. and Canada. But we need to know who will stand up for Canada, Canadians and Canadian jobs, sovereignty and pride. It is not Mark Carney.

As Chrystia Freeland says--we need to follow the money. After doing quite a bit of research into what and who Carney is in vested in, and what “boards of directors” he is on, one can only say, what employee is going to go against their “boss.”

Let’s look, shall we, to see what is involved. This may be a little confusing but I hope the point gets across.

Mark Carney is on the Board of Directors of:

  • Sequoia Capital (U.S. corp);
  • Brookfield Investments (which moved head office to the U.S. shortly after Trump came to power);
  • Bloomberg Investments – (U.S. corp.);
  • Stripe Capital - a technology company that provides payment processing services, and it is valued at $115 billion.
  • Glasgow Finance Alliance for Net Zero

Now where am I going with this? Well, it’s kind of funny that so many things touch Mark Carney, American corporations and Elon Musk. That’s why it’s very curious as to why media says Elon is endorsing Poilievre,[1] unless it’s merely to use the anger Canadians have against Mr. Musk, to ensure Carney gets elected.

That said we need to look at the business connection and understand that business connections take precedence over any other moves. With Carney he may very well be the business patsy or "Gombeen man" (a shady, small-time "wheeler-dealer" businessman who is always looking to make a quick and shady profit, often at someone else's expense).[2]

Elon Musk in an investor of Stripe Capital.[3] He has also had assistance from Brookfield, and it is no surprise that it was Bloomberg reporting on this.

Brookfield Shutters Venture Unit That Helped Elon Musk Buy Twitter

"(Bloomberg)--Brookfield Asset Management has quietly shuttered its venture capital-focused arm Brookfield Growth, according to people with knowledge of the matter…[4]

"…Brookfield Growth provided $250 million in 2022 to help fund Elon Musk’s buyout of Twitter Inc., the social media platform now known as X. The check was the largest ever written by Brookfield Growth at the time and somewhat different from its other bets.

"Brookfield closed on $516 million for its second growth fund in November 2021 and had been raising for a successor vehicle known as Brookfield Technology Growth Partners III, according to securities filings.

"The unit has invested in companies including Material Bank, Latch Inc., Carbon Health, GoodLeap, Workrise, Flash, SirionLabs and Deliverr.

Back to Stripe. From Stripe itself:

“Mark Carney[5] INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR - VICE CHAIR; BROOKFIELD ASSET MANAGEMENT

Mark Carney is a vice chair of Brookfield Asset Management and head of transition Investing. In this role, he is focused on the development of products for investors that will combine positive social and environmental outcomes with strong risk-adjusted returns…

He is also a member of the Global Advisory Board of PIMCO, the Group of Thirty, the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, as well as the boards of Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Peterson Institute for International Economics and the Hoffman Institute for Global Business and Society at INSEAD.”[6]

With Elon Musk being one of the initial investors of Stripe Captial and with his connections to Brookfield, we seriously need to question whether Carney will have any effect on the U.S., the tariffs or whether he will merely cave to Trump and assist the U.S. making Canada the 51st state – based on a business plan he and his wealthy cronies have created. We all must remember when it comes to the likes of Carney and his cronies it’s all about cash and control – money and power – and the only ones who truly suffer are those poor souls who get in their vicious way…

This is merely the tip of the ice-berg so we all know what that means…
