Remember when you could stop in a coffee shop with nothing on your mind except craving a good cup of java and maybe a donut or flaky pastry? Remember when you could walk in and only the smell of fresh roasted coffee would fill your nostrils? It was a semi-oasis, a safe spot to enjoy one of the simple pleasures of life. With the warm smell of satisfaction swirling in your brain, your eyes gravitate to the menu board in search of that sweet side dish that would complete the experience.

What a shame. I had Costa coffee a couple times while traveling through Heathrow and thought it was pretty good. Not that I ever intend to travel internationally again, but if I do and want a cup of coffee, I will not patronize Costa Coffee just as I don't patronize Starbucks.

What an astonishing article! Very well said and a stunningly good read! Refuting the truth is like dividing by zero, not gonna happen. Keep on writing, Milt Harris!

Why does a coffee shop think that a cartoon lady with mutilated breasts will sell coffee!? Yuck.
