A federal judge halted enforcement of the “Deceptive Practices of Limited Services Pregnancy Centers Act,” a bill passed in Illinois recently that targets pregnancy resource centers’ advertising and outreach.
During the case National Institute of Family Life Advocates et al v. Raoul, U.S. District Judge Iain Johnston halted the bill, saying, “The bill is painfully and blatantly a violation of the First Amendment.” ---More...
