Editor’s Note:More than a few of us, particularly those longing to get back to ‘normal’, are a tad sad when the long Labor Day Weekend marks the unofficial end of summer.
But my dearest seafaring friends, Alan and Jeanne Cecil got back to normal by rebuilding and sailing their Motor Vessel Sig Machi in Chesapeake Bay, only returning back to shore when they have to.
It was this delightful seafaring couple who literally made my 2017 Christmas, sending me their wedding photo under the message: “Merry Christmas From New York City!”
