The French never got Freedom by killing their king, nor will America retain Freedom if the American citizens remain apathetic to the current political assassination of Donald J. Trump. It may seem hyperbole, but in my humble opinion, I agree with Victor Davis Hanson that America is currently going through a Jacobin Revolution. While the French Revolution is considered with respect as a great historical event that sparked the quest for Freedom for the French people, it is an illusion that the French Revolution brought Freedom to France.
