As much as for the most closely watched race of the night in Searchlight, Nevada, where Tea Party favourite Sharron Angle battles Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Canada Free Press (CFP) will be rooting for John Kupiec for Congress.
Not blessed with the same Big Name recognition of some of the main players in tonight’s race, Kupiec rides high on the hopes and prayers of legions of people left in the dust of the tragic collapse of the not-so-long-ago thriving Flint, Michigan, as the standard bearer in Michigan’s 5th Congressional District.
In a race, Democrat described as “razor thin”, Kupiec is up against Democrat Congressman Dale E. Kildee, ironically endorsed by the Michigan Sierra Club and the Clear Water Action, both of whom seem oblivious of the pollution of the dust from the collapse of Flint’s automotive industry.
