Loyal Republicans are screaming at party leaders to address real problems, but the "swamp rats” have other priorities. At some point, this disconnect will lead to the party’s dissolution

The GOP is at War With its Base

For many years, the leadership of the Republican Party has been at war with the grassroots activists who work tirelessly on its behalf. This division has been apparent ever since Donald Trump descended the escalator in 2015 and announced his presidential campaign.

The party establishment worked overtime to deny the nomination to Trump, yet the Republican voters overwhelmingly supported him. The resentment toward Trump and his supporters continued during his presidency and still exists today.

Sadly, there is little chance this divide will be bridged any time soon. The latest example occurred last week as congressional Republicans were attempting to elect a House Speaker.

Looks like the House, in fact Congress, will just become a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s policies, and Progressive policy will be the law of the land. There will be no end of spending, and Fed policy will be supportive.
The media is certainly putting their full weight behind Biden and a compliant Congress.
The Republican Party is being functionally erased.
Don’t expect any replacement, and in fact, it likely will be declared illegal.

Sick of the weak stupid RINOs. Thinking of leaving the GOP and becoming Independent.

By Vetmike on 2023 10 23

You have to ask yourself why there is such a disconnect. Are the RINOs on drugs? Have they all had the same kind of stroke, one that puts them Fantasy Land? Is it simple hubris? It is none and all of these things.
People are selfish, they want their's first despite any supposed feelings of "America First'. Even in the bleakest of times, they demanded 'me first'. Just look at the various strikes that occurred during WWII. It is very hard to get past that into 'I'm willing to sacrifice to get our country moving again.'
I once told a guy I would give up 10% of my income if it went solely to paying off our debt. They guy looked at me like I was crazy. And this was a staunch MAGA guy.
The point is that we will never get rid of the RINOs and Democrats. We have passed the point where any compromise is impossible. Find a hole, throw all your stuff in it and your family and you hide in it.

It's past time. Forces from within and out of the Republican Party are determined to deny the grassroots American Conservative any meaningful power at the governmental table. The Conservative base been told since at least 2018-19, "we have to stay and reform the Party from within". You see what that has gotten you? They WILL NOT give up power, and they will destroy the nation in that goal. Although I'm not a Republican( I left in '92 for Perot), I DO have a dog in that fight. The future of our nation is too important to stand idly by and let this joke continue. I saw way back then the drift of the Party towards issues they thought would "broaden the base". Did it? And at what cost? The Party leadership has become slimy swamp monsters; shapeshifters that can seamlessly morph into Democrat Lite and back in a flash.
Do you know where Donald Trump stands on any issue you ask him about? Do you know where Mitch McConnell (or any of the shapeshifters) stand on any issue you ask them about? The contrast is painfully obvious. I hope change from within works, but I'm not optimistic in the least. My prediction: Trump will get the nomination, the forces(inside and out) will align against him, and just as in '20, the vote will be manipulated on multiple fronts in multiple ways. The enemy from within is arguably worse than the opposition. When will it get bad enough for true change to happen? Amazing as it seems, for most Americans, and incredibly, most Conservatives, we're not there yet.

The repub party died years ago, the voters are just too STUPID to realize it.
Everytime in the last few decades when the gop controlled all 3 branches of the government, still nothing ever got done. Actually, the gop helps the demonrats EVERY CHANCE THEY GET.
There is no republican party, it's just an idea.
I have been a lifelong independent because both parties are trash.
We need a violent revolution, and when it happens, we need to hunt down all the corrupt judges,(get them first), politicians, prosecutors, police and corporation heads that brought all this on and deal with them violently.

I am so sick of these RINOs and I am not going to support them anymore. I quit the party after the rigged election and as far as I'm concerned the RINO party is dead. I would support a new party call it the MAGA party I am sick and tired of these bastards like Buck and the Turtle to hell with them, At least you know where the dem/communists stand.

LongTimeTexan, you're on the right track in your thinking. I switched to independent several years ago. The Republican Party in my state (Colorado) is a raging dumpster fire. There's no way I'll vote for any DemonRat of course. I'm hoping I might be sending a message, no matter how small, to the Denver RINOS that they need to think about removing their heads from....well, you know.

An important thing to check before you switch - some states restrict independents in some ways, like which primaries you can vote in, etc. Make sure you know how your great state handles it.

This has been the R's MO for the past 50 years. Bluster and promise and break the promise and be weak on everything. Why all the sudden NOW it's an issue?

3rd party, America First Party, put the real 'Americans' in that party, let the other 2 halves of the remaining Uniparty consume each other, and vote for the America First party.

currently if it was honest, it takes ideally 51 percent of the votes to win. In theory a 3rd party could win with only 34 percent of the vote. there are enough disgusted voters on BOTH sides that this could very easily become a reality.

Don't believe me, ok then bring it up, and watch how QUICKLY, BOTH parties suddenly get along just fine and both in unison condemn the idea bla bla. They know, their greatest fear is YOU finding this out!!

The Republican Party, at least the part of it residing in DC, appears hell bent on self destruction. ALL of it. Not just the RINOs. Combine this with essentially giving Biden and the NWO/Great Reset cabal free rein to destroy the country and Western Civilization with their "policies", the US and the World appear poised on the brink of a New Dark Age that will make the original look like a child's tea party.
