UN's International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI)

“The Plan”—Agenda 21 and the Death Knell of Liberty

The revolution to take back America and restore it to being the future-oriented free republic it was designed to be, must begin at the state and local level. That is why I consider what the Commissioners of Carroll County, Maryland recently did to be so important, and a "glimmer of sunlight" in the darkness. (Link) Carroll County is the first government organization in America to vote (unanimously) to withdraw from the UN's International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). You, too, have misquoted the Club of Rome. That disingenuous snip changes the meaning of the quote. The actual quote is this, from The Club of Rome's The First Global Revolution (in the 1991 edition I found, the quote is on page 115):

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. In their totality and in their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which demands the solidarity of all peoples. But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."

A little honesty goes a long way toward credibility.
