It is in our Constitution, not to tell the citizens what they “MAY DO”, it is there to tell those in government what they “MAY NOT DO”!

The Second Amendment Defined

It is most unfortunate, and very disturbing, that we keep seeing constant attempts by some of our own citizens intending to severely limit, or even remove the right guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the American Constitution. In order to better understand how totally wrong these efforts are, it is necessary to first understand the reason that the amendment was written in the first place.

The Constituting document is a signed agreement - and its meaning is not determined by why people wrote it, but why people signed it. Its meaning is not subject to judicial interpretation, but to the wording on which the signatories agreed. There is no right of the government to limit citizen rights to suit their social or political purposes.

Yes and that is true of the entire Constitution plus telling the federal government what it may do.

Our current administration in Washington has been trying, and will continue to try, to override or destroy the entire Second Amendment to gain more control over normal society. However, with the current administration, their penchant for corruption and acquiring more and more personal wealth will be their undoing for the Biden;'s entire family, through questionable tactics and a 2-tiered justice system.

From the English "Bill of Rights", 1689.

"That the subjects which are Protestants may have arms for their defence suitable to their conditions and as allowed by law;"

This was how the law on 'arms' stood in 1776 in the English colonies in north America.

The Founding Fathers retained it and strengthened it. No mention of religion. No distinction between rich and poor. And comparing the final four words of each: "as allowed by law" became
"shall not be infringed", that's the major difference.

Governments, whether real dictatorships, or elected dictatorships, are always coercive. When your not-so-bright next-door neighbor becomes a councilor, he also becomes an all-knowing tyrant. It is imperative that the people can, as a community, rise up against government oppressions. The USA is one of the very few countries where the people can oppose government force, and win. In all other countries the legitimate concerns of the people are ignored, and the protesters are ground into the mud.
