THE WORST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY

THE WORST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORYThe descendants of Presidents James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, and Jimmy Carter can relax. Their families will no longer be associated with a United States President deemed to be the worst in American history. The current occupant of the White House, President Joe Biden, has seized this title after only eighteen months in office. His administration has failed without exception, from their handling of the economy to their disastrous military withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Determining the worst president ever is a worthwhile exercise that should be frequently indulged. It's a horrible list: Wilson, FDR, Truman, JFK, Carter, Clinton, Bush 43, Obama . . . .All the problems listed belong to the current occupant, but they did not start with him. It will forever be difficult to give the worst ever title to anyone but Obama. It was under his direction that the great turn toward socialism and the destruction of the country began, and many say he's still directing it. The current occupant may be a puppet, but the people pulling the strings have to be given credit for him, too.

Mr Orchard, I agree with you but wonder why you include Truman and JFK. Didn't Yruman have the toughest de ision to make (in Aug 1945) than any president ever have? And did not JFK avoid anuclrar war? These men's life stories fascinated me.

JB: Your questions are good. I'll try to answer. Truman made a weighty decision about using the bomb and he made the right one. It's probably his greatest move. He was a Democrat above all else, and that's okay, but on other issues he chose party over what was right. Have a look at Blacklisted By History, by M. Stanton Evans. In there you'll discover how Truman protected people in the State Department who were trying to subvert the country. He refused to stand up to communist and anti-American personnel who, thanks to him, continue to subvert the country to this very day. Evans' book is excruciatingly fair to everyone. You learn a great deal, as I did. . . . For JFK, the cult of personality and image continues. He led a disgusting personal life. He had no business ever being president. He consorted with a German spy on the eve of WWII, which should have disqualified him from ever holding office. Every issue he touched became a disaster. The myth of avoiding nuclear war came from a 1966 book by Elie Abel, who was, I think, affiliated with ABC News. We read it in high school. It was years later that it came out the JFK traded something to Kruschchev in exchange for pulling the missiles out of Cuba. He faced this crisis because he had booted the Bay of Pigs effort in 1961. There was the coup against Diem. He was sending troops to Vietnam with no ideas except from McNamara about how to use them. The sycophants surrounding him always approached him on their knees. It is only by contrast with later years that anyone could say he had some relatively moderate positions. He was so much like FDR in his arrogance and false confidence. He was utterly unqualified and unprepared to be president. IMHO he was easily among the worst. These things can change over time. I've only recently added Bush 43 to the list. There are some things about him I would still defend, but not many. Thank you for inviting a discussion. I would be honored to hear your further thoughts.

...... Chi-Com Zhou Xiden: the usurper/occupant of our 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue office and public housing and besquatter and bemanurer of all of the other accommodations our beloved fraternal republic always previously reserved for our presidents; has seized the title of worst "president" after only eighteen months posing as a "president." Xiden's ersatz "administration" has failed without exception, from its shameful capitulation to Afghanistan's Taliban to its handling of the economy .....

"Elections" (remember those?) have consequences. Insurrections and coups d'état have catastrophic consequences.
