WhatFinger

As far as Trump's personality, I love his braggadocio. I expect it from a Queens guy, and anyway, I don't expect or desire to live with him. I just want Trump to make America Great Again. And I have no doubt that he can do it.

Why is Trump So Misunderstood?

For those who are unaware, Donald Trump grew up in Queens, NY, one of the boroughs of New York City. There are five: Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Queens. Most of the attention goes to Manhattan, the land of the high rise, the Empire State Building, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Broadway, and Wall Street.

Growing up in New York City was an adventure, filled with the arts, museums, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Met. The Metropolitan Opera even came to our junior high school and performed.

The misunderstanding is intentional. The purpose is to promote misunderstanding and it is both political and social. The intentional misinformation is explained by fear that Trump will not support what others wish to have happen.

By JOSEPH B. STAHL on 2024 02 24

Since the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, the United States has never fought a defensive war, i.e., a so-called "war to preserve our freedom." The Spanish-American War, WWI and WWII were aggressive wars instigated by the United States with its arrogant, bullying, war-mongering mentality, for no defensive purpose whatever.

By bob F on 2024 02 24

I don't t hink The Donald is "misunderstood" as such - it strikes me that his not being a part of the uniparty swamp scares the bejeebers out of most of the reptilian scum inhabiting DC and they have done and will do anything they can think of, with much help from their minions in the mainstream media, to mislead the many emotionally driven dullards in the population who are uneducated and incapable of critical thinking into ranting against the man.
The ironay is apparently lost on said dullards that the very leftist folks who proclaim Trump would be a tyrant or will start wars all over in fact behave like tyrants themselves and are very obviously pushing us into WWIII. The coprolite in the Oval Office (or whoever has his hand up the butt of this sock puppet) has pushed America into becoming a true banana republic - weaponize the swamp rats to eliminate perceived threats.
But this is a theme of the leftist scum - see the EU bureaucrats who are attempting to punish Hungary for having the audacity to not obediently comply with the party line that Russia is bad and Ukraine is the good guy and are trying to punish Hungary for their contra way of thinking.
The real question is - will enough people wake up to recognize how completely and continuously they have been lied to, and if so will they rise up against those who presume to be their masters?
Ronald Reagan was quite right when he quipped "the eight scariest words in the English language are 'I'm from the government, I'm here to help'".

One must wonder where @JOSEPH B STAHL (cute ID - leaving off the "in" at the end and all) learned his/her/its history. Yes, the US instigated WWII by using back channels to pay for Hitler's rise to power - of course! How could I not see that? And OBVIOUSLY the US had Archduke Ferdinand assassinated in order to trigger the Great War - we are all fools not to see the agenda!

Joseph, I think they are calling you back to the rubber room - so do put down your rag doll and go to bed.

By Joe Boudreault on 2024 02 25

Your opening sentence nailed it, Ray. This is a terrific analysis of the man and the times.

By Hansen1 on 2024 02 25

Spot on, especially the statistics about the percentage of registered voter turnout. There was some immediate reportage on the discrepancies which was quickly quashed. Numbers don’t lie, but are manipulated all the time.
My grandfather, a centennial (1899) told me when I was a young man in the ‘60s that the left lies to achieve their goals. He was never wrong on that, but the part that continues to shock me is that they have been able to convince so many about things that aren’t true. This is the case about that guy from Queens.

By JOSEPH B. STAHL on 2024 02 25

Bob F, I know, I know, you learned your history from Hollywood. But the fact is that the U.S. did not defend itself against Germany in WWI because Germany never attacked or even threatened the U.S. The U.S. just made aggressive war on Germany in 1917. Similarly, the Japanese never threatened or had any territorial designs on the U.S., but starting in 1937 when Japan invaded China, President Roosevelt began aggressively committing acts of war against Japan by supplying the Chinese with war material with which to fight Japan and seizing Japanese bank accounts in the U.S. until the Japanese had enough of it and retaliated by raiding our fleet at Pearl Harbor in 1941. They came not to conquer the U.S. but just to disable the U.S. from further meddling into their business in Asia. What was our Pacific Fleet doing at Pearl Harbor anyway? Roosevelt had deliberately moved it there from its base in San Diego a few month earlier to give the Japanese a target they could reach, over the strenuous objections of Fleet Admiral Richardson, because Roosevelt was determined to kiss the # of the British Empire by getting the U.S. into Britain's war against Japan's ally Germany. Germany had also posed no threat to the U.S. whatever despite the big Hollywood lie that "Hitler was out to conquer the whole world" that you fell for hook, line and sinker.

By Hansen1 on 2024 02 26

Hmmm, “Joseph” kinda off topic, weakly Monday morning quarterbacking decades late on the wrong site.

By 10ffgrid on 2024 02 26

"Deliberately misinterpreted" and negatively propagandized by the democrat party, the democrat-MSM, and all governmental (democrat) agencies.

By JOSEPH B. STAHL on 2024 02 26

Hansen1, Off-topic? Wrong site? Read the article again and maybe this time you will notice that the author referred to "all the lives lost defending the U.S." I pointed out that no lives have been lost defending the U.S. since the War of 1812, as all the U.S.'s wars since then have been aggressive wars, not defensive wars. And Monday-morning quarterbacking? What I wrote was Saturday afternoon advice before the game given by U.S. Senators, military officers, former President Hoover and Charles Lindbergh that Roosevelt shoved into the discard and rejected. If you want to comment, you have to PAY ATTENTION instead of just plugging in tired old clichés.

By Hansen1 on 2024 02 26

Nah, Mr. Stahl, you’re merely pouncing on one line, moving the context so that you could spew your anti-American agendas, still remains off topic. Prove the author wrong on the amateur politician he describes, the man from Queens and his policies.

By Bee on 2024 02 26

It's much to late in the Game to ask WHY? Here is my explanation.
There is Evil and Good. All the psychological man made nuances in between those two Facts are just that. Akin to Here-There,No/Yes(maybe is invented),Up/Down and so on.Evil has permeated Man since the Fall and keeps on reinventing itself determined to win.A constant metamorphosis to trip up Human's better half.
Even Jesus,as He ministered to the People, performing Miracles, per eg"feeding 5000 from 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. The Miracles of making the blind man see,the deaf man hear, the dumb man talk and raising the dead. People,Human's, were there to witness these things, yet still they called Him names, said He was of the devil.
They just refused to believe their eyes and the Truth of the situation..Stiffnecked People,Hearts waxed cold and consciences seared. Today's storyline is no different than 2000 years ago.I use this example,as this evil non -belief continues in Humans and continues to enter the minds of many today. DJT is on the side of Good.
Evil hates Good and will go to any lengths to turn Good into Evil. That is Evil's job and they are on their Job..
Hence when asking WHY,my answer is simple. These people have chosen evil(it's a choice) and do evil.Believe your eyes!We need to keep this simple, for as long as we keep asking WHY and getting caught up in the "nuances", we will never get to HOW to fix it.Fixing will require ALL those on the Side of Good to stop the ostrich stance, (as their head is in the sand but their arse is still a target",and continue to Fight for the Good. Let the enemy spin in hate, but instead of wasting time on Analyzing WHY, we must Utilize our knowledge of History, remembering that GOOD ALWAYS DEFEATS evil and get about the Business of righting the Ship. While many on the side of Good want better, this constant WHY mantra has them in a circle jerk with no long term satisfaction and certainly no answers, leaving them worn out, helpless and of no good to the Cause.I wouldn't want any ostrich in my foxhole.
Let's get busy about righting the Ship! Check yourself before you wreck yourself"-Ice Cube.GOD BLESS AMERICA!

By Joe Boudreault on 2024 02 26

Mr. Stahl, it's intriguing how a nice portrait of DJT by Ray Delorenzo gets twisted by you into a diatribe against the USA. I'm just an observer from north of the border in your "51st state", but I've studied both our countries now for more than six decades and I know our histories. Trump's reign was arguably the best in US history. Not a single war under him, but instead, economic prosperity. He should have received three Nobel peace prizes. There would be no Ukraine war, Gaza war or Taiwan war under Trump, period. While I acknowledge that FDR was a weasel and a traitor, he did not (tho he tried to) lead America into World War II. The war was necessary to protect us, and if you look closely, both WW1 and WW2 were never entered into by Canada and the USA UNTIL we were attacked by the enemies, within and without. American public did not want war. And there are volumes and volumes written about the evil Nazi regime and imperialist China and Japan.

No aggression against us by Germany and Japan? WHAT a big lie you have fell for! It's really strange the double standard you apply here. IE, Japan goes to Midway against USA but that's not aggression? C'mon! Germany had no designs against North America? How naive can you be! Germany, unprovoked, sank a Canadian warship off Newfoundland, and U-boats were sunk along the Atlantic shore. No nazi expansionism? Give it a break, Mr. Stahl. They were out to conquer us. You also state "no lives have been lost defending the U.S since the War of 1812, as all the U.S.'s wars since then have been aggressive wars." You conveniently forget your Civil War where over 600,000 Americans died to stop slavery, which would have destroyed your nation. If lies were water, your biases would drown the world.

Japan and Germany were expansive since the 1890s and wanted world domination. If you dig enough you'll find that they had dreams of global conquest indeed. They thought they had good reason but it was still a global conquest mindset, just like China now and the Soviet Union then. Read W.G. Beasley's "Japanese Imperialism". While Japan initially wanted a regional empire against China (a typical lying Marxist plot), it never stops there. Both Germany and Japan deliberately practiced holocaust-style slaughters against minorities; America didn't. Germany and Japan, along with China and the Soviets , were truly genocidal. We aren't. And don't tell me about My Lai or the Philippines as examples; those were abberent soldiers, not representing the US public. Gernany/Japan wanted the world, not just a region, after centuries of isolation.

By Joe Boudreault on 2024 02 26

It's odd that you don't herein apply this expansionist principle to Japan or Germany but are willing to apply it to the USA. It's true that America sometimes established military 'outposts' to consolidate an economic empire, but their 'expansion' was totally unlike Germany and Japan. If your America is so 'bad', why do over half the world's migrants and immigrants want to come to the USA?

How hypocritical, your views! I suspect you were perhaps influenced by such trash as Howard Zinn's garbage book "A Peoples History of the United States". When you begin a constitution with 'God given rights', Mr. Stahl, you are not an aggressive evil empire, you are an economic empire that benefits everyone.

By JOSEPH B. STAHL on 2024 02 26

Hansen1, of course I'm pouncing on one line. Because that one line is just dead WRONG. And I don't need to prove that the author is wrong about all the rest he wrote, about the giant from Queens, because the author is NOT wrong about him. You're talking to a Trumper, little boy. And you don't need to keep proving that you're lost, because I already know that. Furthermore, child, I have no anti-American stance, my point is that President Roosevelt did have one. He put the finishing touch on the ruination of this country. It was still great before he came along. With the exception of Reagan and Trump, it's all been downhill since Roosevelt, with the succession of incompetent blunderers we've had in the White House. If you have a response to this, I 'll let you have the last word, because it is clear now that I can't educate you.

By Hansen1 on 2024 02 26

Really appreciate both Bee and Joe Boudreault’s measured responses. I assume Mr. Stahl to be merely a product of the current revisionist tripe being promulgated, and, like the current “executive” and the late example of Harvard’s ill qualified “president”(figurehead more like) hasn’t an original thought in its head. Plagiarism at its root.
God bless, carry on!

By JOSEPH B. STAHL on 2024 02 26

It is worth replying to the comments of intelligent people. I don't see any here.

By Hansen1 on 2024 02 26

Mr. Stahl? It saddens me that while you and I seem to agree on a few things, much of your diatribe is nonsense and invective. You claim to be a “Trumper” as though that excuses your lack of argumentative skills, you fail to grasp the past and repeat your position to prove it. I’ve been willing to change my opinion given a solid reason to do so, often including facts, unfortunately sorely lacking on both counts from you. I am not persuaded so far, and when you call me a “lil boy” you reveal yourself to be, in fact, lacking maturity.

By Joe Boudreault on 2024 02 27

"...comments of intelligent people... I don't see any here..."

Mr Stahl doesn't acknowledge historical facts as "intelligence. " He's probably a planted bot.

By bob F on 2024 02 27

To @Mr Boudreault - note how our troll friend here is playing a fun game with his/her/its ID - Joseph Stalin come to mind? You think that's a coincidence? The point being - ignore his nonsense.

By Hansen1 on 2024 02 27

Ahh, thought as much, but now that both Bobs concur that it’s a troll my suspicion is confirmed. It seemed more programmed for a social media platform than this site! Poor command of historical facts and the quick resort to name calling were the clues.
Carry on. ????????

By Joe Boudreault on 2024 02 27

To Bob F abs Hanson...

Yes, ignore those who won't debate facts.
