Canada Need to Reconsider Current Energy Policies

I am writing to bring urgent attention to a significant crisis facing Canada, stemming from our current political leadership. I encourage everyone committed to an independent, unified, and free country to consider the issues addressed below.

Prime Minister Mark Carney claims that carbon capture and storage (CCS) produces decarbonized oil. This scientifically flawed claim, combined with carbon pricing and taxes, threatens to drive Alberta toward secession and the rest of Canada toward widespread poverty.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is essential for life. Natural processes have depleted atmospheric CO2 to levels approaching the threshold for plant growth; therefore, increasing CO2 levels benefits the environment. CCS is a wasteful use of resources and must be recognized as a dangerous, anti-life activity.

Furthermore, the infrastructure required for CO2 pipelines and underground storage poses significant safety risks, reminiscent of the catastrophic CO2 release at Lake Nyos in 1986 that resulted in the deaths of over 1,700 people and about 3,000 cattle.

I find it regrettable, but increasingly unavoidable, to report that a primary driver for Western separation is the government's net-zero energy policy. Despite the recent judicial decision to halt the independence referendum petition, the case for Alberta's separation remains well-founded.

It is imperative that politicians reconsider our current energy policies, recognizing that CO2 is as important as oxygen, water, and sunlight in
sustaining life on the planet.
