CNN’s “News of the Day” Really Their Agenda of the Day

CNN’s News of the Day Really Their Agenda of the Day CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins, denied access to cover a later open press event, did not go to the Oval Office to cover yesterday’s first press event. She was there to get ‘legs’ for what CNN had already determined to be “the story of the day”. To be clear: CNN’s official statement, about their reporter being banned from the Rose Garden presser on June 25, 2018:
“Just because the White House is uncomfortable with a question regarding the news of the day doesn’t mean the question isn’t relevant and shouldn’t be asked,” the network said in a statement, following the Collins kick-out kerfuffle. Just because the White House is uncomfortable with a question regarding the news of the day is the key here. Who is CNN to decide what is the “news of the day”? Who are Fox News President Jay Wallace and Fox talking head Brett Baier to run resistance for Fake News CNN? "As a member of the White House press pool, Fox stands firmly with CNN on this issue of access," Baier said on air.” (Fox News, July 25, 2018)
“His comments came shortly after Fox News President Jay Wallace said his network stands in "strong solidarity" with CNN. “Today, CNN White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins was denied access to cover an open press event at the White House. After posing questions to President Trump earlier in the day as the network pool reporter, Collins was told by White House deputy chief of staff for communications Bill Shine and press secretary Sarah Sanders that her questions were ‘inappropriate.’ They were not.” (CNN) “This decision to bar a member of the press is retaliatory in nature and not indicative of an open and free press. We demand better.”

If the FoxNews-backed Collins questions were not “inappropriate,” they were certainly miles off topic. To be clear: Collins’ questions during a photo op with EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in the White House were not about trade deals, but were about former lawyer Michael Cohen’s, CNN-hyped Trump audio tapes—released the same day—and about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin is really coming to visit the White House. Collins’ CNN bosses were not interested in trade deals, no matter how advantageous to the U.S. population—but only in what they regard as “two of the biggest stories of the day.”  Put that in your computer news-feeds, Online Citizens! CNN reported that Collins spoke at a normal volume and was not, as White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said, out of line by shouting and refusing to leave. Hear her for yourself on video:

Sanders did not deny that Collins was kept out of the event but claimed that other CNN journalists were welcome to attend in her place. CNN could be running short on ‘journalists’ who do not shout questions and refuse to leave when disruptive. Were it not for the tell-it-like-it-is Fox Business host Lou Dobbs, it might seem that Fox News is now jumping four square into the tank with CNN. First came Neil Cavuto calling President Trump “disgusting” in his Helsinki Summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Now it’s the suddenly sanctimonious Brett Baier. “Fox Business host Lou Dobbs on Wednesday night said he supports the White House's decision to ban a CNN reporter from a press event for asking President Trump questions earlier that day. (The Hilll, July 25, 2018)

“His comments came shortly after Fox News President Jay Wallace said his network stands in "strong solidarity" with CNN.  "My question is, who the hell are you?" Dobbs said after reading CNN's statement about the ban. "The president does insist on respect." "It's about time there were consequences for disrespectful behavior in the White House," Dobbs said. "CNN said in a statement that the White House's actions were not "indicative of an open and free press."   “Dobbs has assumed an adversarial stance against his Fox News colleagues before.  “Last week, as Fox reporters called out President Trump for his conduct during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Dobbs said he thought the president "handled himself perfectly."  “What would it have taken to satisfy the morons on those clips?” Dobbs asked.  “Trump has faced intense bipartisan backlash since the Helsinki summit, during which he downplayed Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.”
Meanwhile, CNN ‘journalists’ and Fox News’ talking heads Cavuto and Baier should be instructed that “News” is what happens, not what creative liars in the MSM and social media spend so much of their time making up.
