Defender of the Press. Stephanie (‘Rocky’) GrishamThe music theme from the ‘Rocky’ movie should be playing in the heads of Jim Acosta and other journos whenever they hear the name of new White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham. But members of the mostly anti-Trump White House press corps will, rather than being grateful that she cleared the path for them to cover the President Donald Trump/Kim Jong Un handshake will be too busy looking for ways to knock her out of the ring. “Stephanie Grisham replaced Sarah Sanders as White House press secretary only recently, but Grisham reportedly has already been injured on the job.” (Fox News, June 30, 2019)
“Grisham suffered bruises when a scuffle broke out Sunday between North Korean security guards and members of the media trying to get close to President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as they shook hands at the Demilitarized Zone, the Associated Press reported. “The new press secretary was reportedly pushing back against the guards, trying to help members of the White House press corps position themselves to cover the historic moment between Trump and Kim.”
Several reporters—not a single one of them Twitter banned— tweeted about the clash between the North Korea security guards and the media.
“It was not immediately clear if Grisham required medical attention or if anyone else was injured or detained by the guards. (Fox News) “Grisham, 42, had been a spokeswoman for first lady Melania Trump before being named last week as the successor to Sarah Sanders, whose last day at the White House was Friday.”

Plucky Grisham replaces the just as admirable, Jim Acosta-harassed Sarah Sanders, whose verbal dust-ups mostly came from encounters with the local media. Grisham arrives at a time when many reporters make up rather than report on the ‘news’, and one in which an estimated 98% of the mainstream and social media work with the Democrats to bring down America’s 45th, now in the running for 2020 re-election. It took a lot more than temerity to forge a path for the American press abroad her first day on the job. It took real courage for Grisham to forge a path for Washington press corps access by wading into North Korean security forces, and she has the bruises to prove it.
