Dems trying to tune out radio talk show heroes

Internet giant Drudge tells the story best--in so many words--the Democrats are trying to deprive Americans of talk show radio. The Dems, dragging ever downward in their own ratings, want to rid the airwaves of the tell-it-like-it-is Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage for once and for all.

In a purge that goes all the way from Washington, DC to San Francisco, they are trying to take down America's two top radio hosts--in one fell swoop. Limbaugh has been under attack since last week when Democratic lawmakers in the House and Senate led by Sen. Harry Reid of "the war is lost" fame accused him of calling veterans who oppose the Iraq war "phony soldiers". "Limbaugh's remarks appeared to actually refer to a specific soldier, Jesse Macbeth, who appeared in a YouTube video stating that he and other American soldiers had killed Iraqi civilians. Macbeth was later sentenced to five months in prison for falsifying his service record." ( www.NewsMax.com, Oct. 2, 2007). Macbeth claimed to have a Purple Heart, when he was in reality discharged after only 44 days of service in Iraq. If that tall tale sounds vaguely familiar in the happened-before category, the Democrats aren't admitting it. Perhaps Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn could use their clout and get the Dems, who are now trying to portray themselves as avid supporters of the U.S. military, this year's academy award. Even Cindy Sheehan would have trouble remembering the 55 Democrat resolutions to bring the troops back home since taking office in January. Washington, D.C. may be where all senators and `congress persons' meet, but the trendsetting Grand Central for Liberals is San Francisco, where Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval is now renewing his personal vendetta against Dr. Michael Savage. Performers usually wait to be asked for an encore request, but Sandoval stands neither on ceremony nor democracy. Sandoval failed on the introduction of his first resolution in August condemning international syndicated radio talk show host Savage, whose motto "Borders, Language, Culture" makes him the hero of the contemporary American patriot. In August, third generation San Franciscan Ed Jew was there to keep Sandoval's 9-1 vote from being unanimous. Jew cast a vote against Sandoval on the basis of protecting the popular radio host's First amendment right to express his opinion. Time passed, and so did Supervisor Jew, who was suspended from his duly won Board of Supervisors seat and replaced by Mayor Gavin Newsom's handpicked Carmen Chu, a move that will be disputed in a court of law. See the letter to the Board of Supervisors from Ed Jew's lawyer here. Millions of listeners tune in on Limbaugh and Savage. Many of the listeners of the duo, who between them own talk radio, are discouraged by George Bush and the RINOs (Republicans in Name Only). Even more are fed up with the antics of the increasingly anti-democratic Dems. Interesting how posses have been unleashed on the radio giants in the aftermath of humiliating failures of the Democrats. The Sept. 15 anti-war demonstration in Washington, members of which marched on the capital to impeach Bush and Cheney, provided little more than street theatre. One of America's largest beer producers, Miller Brewing Co., is reviewing its marketing strategies after Christian groups complained about the firm's sponsorship of the controversial Folsom Street Fair and its sadomasochistic copycat version of Da Vinci's Last Supper with the apostles turned out in bondage attire. "We regret that our failure to adhere with our own policy led to an inappropriate use of our trademark and apologize to anyone who was offended as a result, particularly members of the Christian community who have contacted us to express their concern," a company spokesman, Julian Green said in a written statement Monday. Meanwhile, the Democrats trying so desperately to clear the deck for the return of the Clintons hate the influence of Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage on average Americans. But the millions of average Americans, who faithfully tune in on El Rushbo and Dr. Savage, love their talk show heroes.
